I was visiting Acadia NP in early October, and one evening I received an alert that the aurora borealis might be visible. I rushed out to Jordan Pond, as it has northward-facing dark skies, and much to my delight, the sky was faintly lit with hues of pink and yellow. I captured several images, but this one was a favorite because of the Big Dipper above the Bubbles and the reflection of the stars in the waters of the pond.
