My husband and I waited 4 years to visit Katmai. After being selected from the lottery to stay at Brooks Lodge, we had to delay our trip for 2 years due to Covid. Rather than give up our coveted spot, we waited another 2 years. It was SO worth the wait. We enjoyed watching and photographing the bears at both platforms and loved that fact that we didn't have to fight the crowds during July.
In this particular photo, I captured one of the many times these 2 siblings wrestled with each other. They were so fun to watch. One minute they were calmly sitting in each other's presence and the next they were wrestling. They weren't doing much fishing in between; still not liberated from momma yet?
