My husband and I waited 4 years to visit Katmai. After being selected from the lottery to stay at Brooks Lodge, we had to delay our trip for 2 years due to Covid. Rather than give up our coveted spot, we waited another 2 years. It was SO worth the wait. We enjoyed watching and photographing the bears at both platforms and loved that fact that we didn't have to fight the crowds during July.
In this particular photo, this little cub seemed to be mimicking momma fishing, but in this case, he "caught" a feather. I just love the look on his/her face and look at those claws already!
