While driving between Bryce Canyon and and the town of Boulder, we stopped at Grand Staircase. Since we only had a short time to spare there, we decided our time would be best spent visiting The Devil's Garden (granted, a large chunk of that time was spent on the bumpy unpaved road that led from Route 12 and seemed to go on for miles, populated only by cattle and an occasional other vehicle.) It was everything we'd hoped for; scenic, distinctive and a fun place to explore, minus the crowds.
