I love to wake up and walk among the Saguaros in Saguaro National Park East on the the Broadway Trails. The early morning sky takes on soft pastel colors before the warm sun reaches over the mountain peaks and touches the tall saguaro cacti with its golden rays. Every time I walk the trails, I think to myself that saguaros remind me of people, and when they are in groupings like this one, that they look like families. It takes at least 50 years for a saguaro cactus to get its first arm, so this photograph reminds me of a family with elders and youth. I call this photo 'Good Morning Saguaro Family'. The colors in the morning sky are out of this world, and would make a great photo to represent the beauty of national parks for 2023.
