Living and working on the Navajo Nation for a decade was life changing for me and my family. Canyon de Chelly was just a 10 minute drive from my home and was a place of solace and inspiration, especially during the pandemic. I captured this image during the Fall of 2021, shortly after this overlook re-opened to the public after being closed for so long. I had longed to witness sunrise from this spot again, and this particular morning did not disappoint.
