Living and working on the Navajo Nation for a decade was life changing for me and my family. Canyon de Chelly was just a 10 minute drive from my home and was a place of solace and inspiration. I captured this image during the Fall of 2021. I had been lucky to visit this spot 3 different times over the years, which is my favorite hike in this sacred Canyon, but this was my first time gazing through The Window with vibrant yellow cottonwoods. I am forever grateful to the NPS Ranger and friend who guided me on this journey each time.
