Haleakalā National Park

Haleakalā Crater – A gigantic volcanic area known for at least ten eruptions in the past 1,000 years, and more in the past 10,000 years of human history. The colorful cinder cones of the surreal landscape here are the erosional features of the last of most recent eruptions. It’s a unique geological event on earth to form the beauty of Maui. By standing on top of the summit, it’s hard for you not to appreciate the force of the nature to shape and create the island of Hawaii.
