Sunrise on the Mountain. Shot during a 3-day backpack on the eastern flanks of Mount Rainier. I think one of my greatest joys in life is watching sunsets and sunrises in the mountains. It can be absolutely awe-inspiring. Here Tahoma (the Lushootseed name for Rainier meaning "mother of waters") is shrouded by a lenticular cloud, while Little Tahoma (a satellite peak that was once part of the much larger volcano) is out in all its glory.
