I took this photo of my friend's daughter on January 1, 2011. We were at the top of the Climbing Hill at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, 25 miles from my home in Traverse City, Michigan. In the background, Glen Lake is in view. It was cold yet invigorating to climb the hill and jump off the mound of sand. I have had many happy hours in this beautiful area on Lake Michigan with children and adults. It has inspired me to get fresh air and exercise.
