Mt. Jefferson, Oregon's second highest peak, from Russell Lake in Jefferson Park, on the north side. This is a late-fall shot after an early snow storm. After my brother and I backpacked in and made camp, the clouds cleared while we were having dinner. I jumped up, ran down to the lake's edge, and started shooting. My dinner got cold. It was worth it!
