I hiked The Wave on a beautiful, sunny day. It was a strenuous 3 mile hike in sand and sandstone. Number of tourists is limited by BLM permit to protect the fragile rock formations. I started the hike on the Navajo reservation in Utah and walked to Coyote Buttes North in Arizona, where the dramatic iconic "wave" rock formations are located. This photograph shows the beauty of the striated rock formations in this remote desert location./Photographers Paradise
