While riding on California highway 50 I spotted the horsetail falls in the distance. I stopped the car and hiked the 2 miles to the base of the falls. I followed the trail which runs parallel to Pyramid Creek. There were 2 or 3 other smaller falls but my goal was Horsetail Falls. After about an hour I reached the base. The falls were beautiful.
