This image was captured from Clingmans Dome - the highest summit in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. While shooting the sun rising above the clouds on a cool September morning, I noticed rays of light penetrating the spruce firs to the west of the mountain. I used a Canon 250mm telephoto lens to zoom in and capture this incredible scene. Enjoy!
