We typically camp off-trail in the backcountry, which requires extra skill when it comes to Leave No Trace. It often takes longer to find a suitable site, but we try to do what we can to protect the fragile wilderness. This is at sunset perched on a ridge 300' above camp. The light came slowly at first and wasn't especially awe-inspiring, so after enjoying what we thought was the last of it, we began our descent. As a final farewell I looked back just one last time ... and this was our reward.
