To get to Carbon Glacier - at the foot of Mt. Rainier - you need to mountain bike on an old logging road for about 5 miles, then park your bike and hike a few miles to the glacier viewpoint. Along the way are log bridges, a suspension bridge, and stunning views of Mt. Rainier from the silt-filled Carbon River.
