During the recent government shutdown, all national parks were closed. Fortunately, the trail to Second Beach in Olympic National Park was still open since the trailhead lies within the Quileute Indian Reservation. Let's hope that this incredible sunset is a sign that our national parks will never again be forced to shut down.
