While hiking near Winnemucca Lake in Kirkwood, California, a few miles south of Lake Tahoe, I was delighted by this colorful display of wildflowers. Since it was late in the season, I did not expect to see such a wonderful concentration of color. The mountain in the background is Roundtop, known for it's skiing./Wildflowers on Display
