We were driving back to the northwest entrance of the park approached Chaos Jumbles and Dwarf Forest and noticed a wonderful rose-colored glow on Lassen Peak and the foreground rocks and trees. We stopped the car; I set up my tripod, and got my shot. The whole spectacle lasted less than five minutes.
