Crater Lake in late afternoon, Crater Lake National Park, Oregon.
We arrived at Crater Lake in the afternoon after spending the day hiking in the Three Sisters Wilderness. When we got out of our rental car to take in our first view of Crater Lake, we were blown away by the size and the beauty of this site. The water was a deep blue. The lake and the steep cliffs around it reminded us of a trip to the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. Crater Lake is simply majestic.
