Drifting In Thought-My Hiking Companion, David, and I rested on the bank of Lake Stuart after a long afternoon of backpacking. I stood to take photographs of Mt Stuart,the lake and the surrounding forest, when I noted the perfect blend of rock, water, mountain and sky reflected together. David seemed to float in a mystical setting where it all blended and David drifted in the quiet contemplation that such a beautiful place often allows us to experience.
