A family views the glowing clouds from the Rim Fire as it enters the north western portion of Yosemite National Park on August 25, 2013. This picture was taken from a turnout on Tioga Pass Road. An automobile pulled into the turnout and made a U-turn while I was in the middle of the 30 second exposure. I thought that the picture was compromised, but the headlights proved to enhance the picture by illuminating the foreground landscape and the family sitting in the darkness.
