We discovered a hidden secret this last trip through Yellowstone. Leave the hotel early enough to get to the geyser areas at sunrise. As we drove, we watched the mist rise along the meandering Yellowstone River. Slowly, the geysers would reveal themselves via the mist poking it way through the air, here and there. What a thrill it was to find this elk in a clearing enjoying his breakfast!
