The town of St. Thomas was buried in water when Lake Mead filled following Hoover Dam's completion. As Lake Mead began to retreat, an effect of the 10-year-plus drought in the Southwest, St. Thomas was revealed. The eerie remains now rise above sun-baked mud and shimmering shards of dishes and glass, giving only a glimpse of its life before the dam.
