Alaska's famous drive-in glacier, Mendenhall Glacier viewed from the shore of Mendenhall Lake. Off the side is the Nugget Falls, a popular tourist attraction as well. This is the closest you can be to the glacier on foot. You can kayak to the glacier, though not recommended due to the temperature of the water.
