While visiting the Big Island one of the adventures on the top of my list was a visit to see the lava flow up close and personal. After hiring a tour guide to take me out at sunset I arrived just at the right time. Perched high above I photographed the lava spewing out of it's tube into the ocean from a number of places. Towards the end of the evening I brought my camera back to where my friends were sitting and took one last photo: of them watching the lava help expand the Big Island
