This western outpost was scouted by Lewis and Clark. We visited on the 4th of July and were surprised at the size of the flag. The flag was over-sized to serve as a landmark for settlers and natives seeking trade and safety along the Missouri River. This remote site was a scenic wonder and a great lesson in history.
