Each morning on the drive into the park from the east side, we were always amazed by the fields of lupine near Mary Bay on Yellowstone Lake. I have seen lupine in other National Parks, but never has it been so vibrant. Most of the area where the lupine is growing is considered unstable ground, so you aren't supposed to walk on it. I had to use a telephoto lens and shoot from the roadside.
