While visiting Grand Teton National Park, we stayed at Signal Mountain Lodge on Jackson Lake. My wife caught me continually looking out the window of our cabin while the sun was setting, and said "you can go take pictures if you want". So I quickly hiked down the beach a little bit in time to get some photos of what turned out to be a nice sunset. I even managed to get myself into a picture, which seems like a rarity with my vacation photos.
