Martian Landscape in the Desert. Taken pre-dawn April 2, 2011. Awake before first light while on a Venture Crew outing I decided to stakeout some sunrise shots. Just a few hundred feet away I found a rock formation with a small gnarled Joshua tree and tumbleweeds. The limited light brought out the pinkish red hues in the boulders creating what looks like a sound stage for a 1950s space movie.
