This image was from a hike we did last summer in the Santa Monica Mountains at Sandstone Peak. It was about a 75 minute drive from my house to the trail head. We did the hike in June. This caused the hike to be very hot and the marine layer was very thick all day. Once we got to the peak, we had great views of the Thousand Oaks Valley, but the Ocean was nowhere to be found. I decided to climb the peak and meditate.
