My fiancee, Al, and I took a trip to Horn Island on what we thought would be our last visit before the oil from the Deep Water Horizon (BP) oil spill arrived on its shores. We have both been residents of the local area (Pascagoula) our entire lives and were deeply saddened by our belief that life would be forever changed due to the fact that we would be unable to enjoy all that the islands have to offer. We love to swim, fish, kayak, and just relax there every chance we get!
