"Statuesque"
A Little Green Heron sits motionlessly on the limb of a low branch just above the water, and waits patiently for his moment to strike an unsuspecting fish swimming below him. Herons are the most patient of fishing birds and often sit motionless for what seems an eternity before striking; however, this method of fishing gave me the opportunity to capture the intensity of those eyes, intently watching the small fish below.
