I was spoiled by perfect, clear night skies every night I was in Joshua Tree. The dry air, dark skies, and picturesque campground provided a great opportunity to try to get a good shot. Having lived near light-polluted Boston, this was the first time I've ever been able to take this long of an exposure (20 minutes).
