Great Smoky Mountains National Park

On a six day hike in the back country of the Smoky Mountains, plan for day three was to go over Gregory Bald to see the wild azaleas blooming, then hike on to Fontana lake shore trail. On early Saturday morning June 22, 2013 at campground 13 just below Gregory Bald, the early morning sun was burning off the fog as we were packing up our gear, and I snapped this photo of the first sun's rays coming through the forest.
