Stepping onto the salt flats of Badwater Basin was a surreal experience in my life. I never knew a place so beautiful and never did I think it would be found in a desolate land called Death Valley. After a storm, the rain had created a perfect reflecting pool in the basin which extended till the land touched the sky and showcased the clarity of the mountain range in the distance. Standing there, I embraced the still and quiet of the valley.
