During a trip to Florida from New York we planned to drive the entire length of Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Booking a hotel nearby allowed us to begin the trip before sunrise. The rising sun was spectacular. Skyline drive allows for easy viewing of sweeping landscapes through numerous convenient scenic pull-offs. We drove through almost every one.
