Bear in a tree near Yosemite Falls.
During a guided camera walk with a photographer from the Ansel Adams Gallery, we happened upon a small adult bear crossing our path. It scurried up a tree from which we kept our distance. Our guide focused our attention on this exciting, unexpected encounter, and the rest of the guided walk was all about watching this bear. We learned to keep our distance so that we observe the bear in its natural behavior and activity. This made for better candid shots.
