We spotted this sea otter, floating past us, with a quizzical expression on its furry face, while we were exploring Wrangell-St. Elais National Park. Sea otters are the smallest marine mammal, and are of the weasel family. Our guide explained that the sea otter's two layers of thick fur (the thickest fur of any mammal) keeps its skin dry and insulated.
