Deer Blending In. Taken early morning May 8, 2013. A small herd of young deer were crossing the paved trail back from Mirror Lake. Before I could set up, a jogger ran pass me chasing them up into the rocks where they paused feeling safe. Even as an untreated color picture (per rules) the deer seem somewhat camouflaged. As a sepia picture, you don’t have to be Charles Darwin to see how they believed they were blending into the background.
