We took the Tundra Wilderness Tour of Denali National Park. At mile 15 we stopped at a Park Ranger Station where we were able to handle (barely) the moose and elk antlers. We have renewed respect for the neck strength of these animals, and their ability to not only support these weighty antlers, but to negotiate rugged terrain and actually run with them. Sally Katz struggled to lift this set. A Park Ranger answered our questions and also directed us to the excellent exhibit in the station.
