during one of our weekend trips to the refuge we happened across a heron and an egret hanging out in a shallow pool looking for their lunch. Our approach startled the heron who took flight. I snapped a quick picture of him flying off, happy to get one of him in flight. It wasn't until that night when I put the pictures on the computer that I noticed the bald eagle sitting on the brance in the background also watching the heron fly.
