This photo was taken at Mount Rainier National Park at sunset, New Years Eve, 12/31/2012 overlooking Paradise Valley toward the Nisqually basin. We were cross country skiing on Nordic Patrol, voluneering at the park. My husband urged me to hurry as we had to make it out of the park before the gate was locked for the night. I kept saying "just one more [photo]..." Mount Rainier holds many adventures for back-country skiiers, with breath-taking vistas when the sun is shining.
