My son and I planned a Rim-to-Rim hike in June 2012, but encountered a pipeline break above Bright Angel Campground, so had to exit back out the south rim. And I'm glad, since we were rewarded by this spectacular sunset at Indian Garden Campground. A brief shower brought in a few low clouds that made the sky pink and brought out the red in the rocks of the canyon. A wonderful last night on a wonderful trip!
